Gridlock Puppy Pads

I’ve got two Pomeranians (if you’ve read my other reviews about pet stuff, you already know this) and they used to be little pee factories.
Well, actually, they’re still little pee factories, they just pee outside now instead of in the house. But, when I was trying to potty train them, I made the mistake of purchasing training pads at, you guessed it, Wal-Mart. As with just about 90% of the stuff in Wal-Mart, it’s cheap junk that works just fine until you figure out there are actually other places to shop that sell quality stuff.
The biggest factor in purchasing pee pads is the amount of absorbency that they’re capable of. If you work away from home (and most people do) and you leave your pets inside for 6 or 8 hours alone, they’re going to have to pee more than once. That’s just biology for you. Thin, flimsy pee pads that you get at places like Wal-Mart are only good for one use and that’s it. After that, you have little pee paw prints around the house because the pad didn’t absorb enough when your dog was using it, so he ended up tracking everywhere.
Enter Gridlock Puppy Training Pads. I will NEVER use another brand of pee pads again. While I do work at home, when I have to leave for an extended period of time during the day, I make sure and leave one of these out in case my potty trained Poms need a place to go. They have an almost diaper-like absorbency, which makes them great for more than one use if I have to leave for a while.
I also like to use the Iris Puppy Pad Tray to put these on. The tray works great for puppies who like to shred pee pads up, but even though my Poms are grown now, I still like using this because it just looks neater than putting the pad directly on the floor.
