Growing a garden can be difficult if you live in the country where there are rabbits, deer, and other miscellaneous wildlife, but this can help you keep animals away very easily while being humane at the same time.

All you need is a 9 volt battery and a water hose to make this baby work and work, it does.  It keeps my Poms out of the garden and keeps them from digging things up just like it keeps away rabbits.  I use it for my garden, but you can also use it to protect other areas of your yard where you don’t want animals foraging, doing their business in, or digging.  I don’t appreciate rabbits eating things out of my garden anymore than someone with a newly landscaped front yard wants other dogs using the bathroom in it.  Others use the scarecrow to keep birds like ducks out of the pools in their backyard or from feeding in their fish ponds.

I know this may sound evil, but it also works on small children.  If there’s a certain area of your yard you don’t want toddlers wandering into, getting them a little wet with a sprinkler won’t hurt them and it may keep them from going where they shouldn’t.

The only thing to be aware of is that you need to be able to turn the water off before going in front of it, because it won’t distinguish between you and other forms of movement.  It will spray anything in its path that moves, so being sure you set it up correctly may mean getting a little wet a couple of times.
